Government College University Lahore (GC University Lahore) started its journey as a affiliated college of Calcutta University back in 1864. In 2002 college was upgraded as a university and the name suggested for university was Government College University (GCU). Now GC University Lahore is a well established public sector university located in Lahore. GC University Lahore is charted by Government of the Punjab and a Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan’s recognized university.
